Solomon Islands (including Marovo Lagoon)

This is yet another great one off, chance in a lifetime to get a great group of divers together who know each other to go to another fantastic remote dive location. We are very lucky to be able to get out to Marovo Lagoon, this is not a standard trip, this has been extended to get out to this area!

Dates

Trip details

Excellent macro life

What wetsuits to bring
Water and Air temperature are pretty much constant in the Solomon islands, and vary only 2 – 3 degrees all year long. Water temperature is normally around 28-29C / 82 – 85F although it may get as low as a chilly 26.5C / 80F, and as high as a balmy 30.5C / 87F, but this is unusual. Most divers are comfortable in a 3mm wet suit, or a combination lycra and shorty suit. Please keep in mind that although the water and air is warm, if you are doing 4 – 5 dives a day some thermal protection is recommended.

The diving
The Bilikiki offers very easy diving. With a huge rear dive deck there is lots of space for suiting up and for the photographers there are dedicated carpeted camera tables that are right on the dive deck. There is no need to carry any equipment as this is all handled by the boat crew in to the two purpose built tender boats to swiftly take divers from the main vessel to the dive site drop off points only a few hundreds metres away.

This is a special 14 night trip we will diving the best route possible taking us out as far as the great Marovo Lagoon. The diving will be highly varied with gorgeous scenic reef dives, some big fish dives, macro dives and of course plenty of great night dives too!
