About Graham Abbott
I was attracted to water ever since I was a young boy growing up in England. My first encounters with marine life were in the tide pools back home where I collected specimens in buckets for close examination. I enjoyed finding strange and unusual things and trying to figure out what they were. It was there I found my first scorpion fish and wondered what kind of strange fish is this?
The thought of ever being a certified diver and diving on a regular basis was originally only a dream. It was something I thought only the very privileged could do. It wasn't until I was living in Jersey and met a few local divers that I had an opportunity to really give SCUBA DIVING a try. Needless to say, that first underwater experience was enough to convince me I needed to get certified and see if I could do more diving.
I was certified a short time later in Florida and after hearing of other diver's travels to exotic locations such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia etc., I thought that was where I needed to head as well.
When I made my first dive in Sipadan, I was overwhelmed with the abundance and diversity of Indo-Pacific marine life. I took a keen interest in looking for unusual creatures and found I thoroughly enjoyed showing what I found to other divers -- especially photographers who could capture that image forever. From this day on it was a goal and big dream to be able to work with the worlds best photographers, film makers, the keenest marine life enthusiasts and be able to work with survey teams, all this would mean I would be able to constantly learn about this amazing underwater environment.
Since 1997 I have been a professional dive guide in north Sulawesi, West Australia, the Wakatobi island group, Komodo, Irian Jaya, the eastern islands of the Nusa Tengarra like Flores, Alor & beyond, through the Banda Sea, of course my home island of Bali and since 2005 I have been leading trips various areas of Papua New Guinea. It has been a dream come true to be able to work with some of the worlds' best underwater photographers, journalists, film makers, marine life enthusiasts and for sure I would enjoy the opportunity to work with you, showing you the real treats of underwater Indonesia!
I eventually learned what that strange fish in the tide pool was back home.
Diving 4 Images is now my dream job come true...
About Dwi Sawitri
Dwi is from Java and was the inspiration for Diving 4 Images. Dwi is the driving force behind Diving 4 Images office and logistics. It was only when Graham met Dwi that he decided he wanted to commit to something long term, stay in one place, settle down and start his own business. Dwi has been looking after everything other than the diving from the very beginning of Diving 4 Images. You name it behind the business and Dwi is the one doing it all!
Oh and yes, Dwi is also a very keen diver and has done the whole nine yards including becoming a PADI open water scuba diving instructor and she's a great spotter too! Dwi has dived just about all the best places in Indonesia and from to time makes it out on Diving 4 Images expeditions.
Why choose Diving 4 Images...
Of course why should anyone want to dive with an operator they may not have even heard of? This should the first question that needs to be answered. So who indeed are we and why have you not heard of us... First and foremost we do not make big external marketing, much of our business comes in from word of mouth, which has brought us many great friends in the diving industry. We are a small and highly personalised specialist diving operation. Our speciality is in expert underwater guiding and the organisation of dive expeditions and logistics for divers wanting or needing the best!Think about who has dived with us and then see why they chose to utilise Diving 4 Images. Who do the professional divers chose when they come to Indonesia on big projects and who are the top photographers using at the moment? The diving industry changes a lot, live aboard dive boats get old, often great dive guides get bored, get out of the industry or simply move from place to place, what we offer is guaranteed, reliable, expert guidance every time on every expedition. We also arrange and provide logistical support for many dive industry professionals. We guide a whole range of divers and even travellers wanting nothing more than a good, safe boat for a special cruise. We deal with a with photographic clubs, professional and amateur film makers, professional photo journalists, marine life enthusiasts of all levels and even recently guiding onboard super yachts where the owner wanted nothing but the best possible guidance for his Indonesian expeditions.

Diving 4 Images is the pioneering and only operator so far to offer recreational diving charters and regular expeditions to the Fakfak region. We have located many excellent dive sites within this area and very recently found lots of excellent critter sites to go with all those fantastic fishy dive sites we found on the first expedition.
